How Does E-ZPass Work?

The E-ZPass transponder is a radio frequency device.
Mount the E-ZPass transponder as instructed.
Use designated E-ZPass lanes when entering and exiting our roadway.
Drive through the E-ZPass lane - Do Not Stop.
As your vehicle enters the roadway, an antenna mounted below the E-ZPass sign will read the transponder.
The travel information is recorded by the transponder as you enter and exit.
A toll amount is calculated and deducted from your E-ZPass account prepaid balance.
