||
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists that I-276 is closed in both directions between the Norristown Interchange, Exit 333, and the Fort Washington Interchange, Exit 339, Montgomery County and will re-open at approximately 2 p.m. today. The closure is necessary for the protection of motorists and workers so crews from the Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO) can repair electrical lines near milepost 337 on the PA Turnpike. Eastbound Detour Exit at Norristown Interchange, Exit 333 and follow signs for Plymouth Road. Turn right onto Plymouth Road, then left onto Butler Pike. Turn right onto Skippack Pike/PA 73 east, then turn left onto PA 309 north. Re-enter the PA Turnpike at the Fort Washington Interchange, Exit 339. Westbound Detour Exit at Fort Washington Interchange, Exit 339 and follow signs to PA 309 north to PA 63 west, then to US Route 202 south. Get on Germantown Pike east and re-enter the PA Turnpike at the Norristown Interchange, Exit 333. Changeable message signs will also provide information on these closures. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
