Beaver Valley Interchange on PA Turnpike to Be Closed Weekdays
Three-week closure needed for resurfacing project starting Sept. 21.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike is alerting motorists of a three-week closure of the Beaver Valley Interchange, Exit #13, in Beaver County.  Motorists will not be able to enter or exit the Turnpike at the Beaver Valley Interchange weekdays starting Sept. 21 through Oct. 9.

Crews will be reconstructing the shoulders and resurfacing the ramps that lead to and from the interchange. The work will stop Friday evenings allowing traffic through the interchange until it closes again on Monday mornings. This work is weather dependent and, if necessary, crews will work into the weekends.

All motorists traveling the Turnpike and wanting to exit at Beaver Valley Interchange will be diverted to New Castle Interchange, Exit 10, where a detour will be in place leading them to State Route 18.

Traffic wanting to enter the Turnpike at Beaver Valley Interchange will be detoured to New Castle Interchange using State Route 18 and State Route 351.

Detour signs will be posted for all Turnpike traffic and local traffic during the closure.

For short periods of time State Route 18 between Fairlane Boulevard and Wallace Run Road will be restricted to a single lane in each direction while work at the ramps take place.
