Northbound Ramp at Allentown Service Plaza Closing Overnight for Roadway Paving
Service plaza visitors should prepare for overnight ramp closure.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will be performing a mill-and-pave-operation on the northbound ramp at the Allentown Service Plaza from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18 to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19.

During this time, the northbound ramp will be closed to all traffic at the Allentown Service Plaza, located at milepost 55.9 in Lehigh County, so crews can safely conduct roadway paving work.  Visitors that do not exit the service plaza prior to 9 p.m. on Aug. 18 will have to remain in the service plaza until the work is completed.

The next available service plaza for motorists travelling northbound on the PA Turnpike during this closure is the Hickory Run Service Plaza, approximately 30 miles past the Allentown Service Plaza.

Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.  To report an accident or other emergency on the PA Turnpike, dial *11 via mobile phone. To learn more about PA Turnpike conditions, use one of these resources:
