Bowmansville Service Plaza Closing Overnight for Ramp Roadway Paving

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorist that the Bowmansville Service Plaza, located eastbound at milepost 289.9 in Lancaster County, will be closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5 to 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6.

During this time, the entrance and exit ramps will be closed to traffic at the service plaza so crews can safely perform roadway paving work on both the entrance and exit ramps of the Bowmansville Service Plaza.

Visitors that do not exit the service plaza prior to 8 p.m. on Aug. 5 will have to remain in the service plaza until the work is completed.

The next available service plaza for motorists travelling eastbound on the PA Turnpike during this closure is the Valley Forge Service Plaza, approximately 35 miles past the Bowmansville Service Plaza.

Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.  To report an accident or other emergency on the PA Turnpike, dial *11 via mobile phone. To learn more about PA Turnpike conditions, use one of these resources:
