Possible Delays Expected on PA Turnpike Oct. 18 |
||
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling in both directions on the Northeastern Extension (I-476) to be prepared for slow-moving and stopped traffic between the Keyser Avenue Interchange, Exit 122, and the Clarks Summit Interchange, Exit 131, Lackawanna County, due to intermittent, 30-minute traffic stoppages scheduled between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Oct. 18. During the stoppages, Turnpike maintenance and state police vehicles will restrict Turnpike traffic to a speed of 20-25 miles an hour. The stoppages are necessary for the protection of motorists and workers so crews can safely install and set a steel monopipe gantry structure at milepost A123.4.
