Express E-ZPass Lane Closure Scheduled on Mon Fayette Expressway
Daytime closure planned for southbound traffic May 11.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling southbound on the Mon Fayette Expressway, Turnpike 43, that the Express E-ZPass lane at the M-52 Mainline Toll Plaza in Allegheny County will be closed May 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Only E-ZPass customers use this lane where travel is permitted at highway speeds.

E-ZPass customers can still pay electronically via the conventional E-ZPass lanes on the right side of the plaza. Conventional lanes are designated as E-ZPass Only or Cash Only. Motorists should be aware that the conventional E-ZPass lanes have a speed limit of 5 mph.

This temporary closure is needed to allow crews to safely work on the electronic toll equipment. This work will proceed as weather permits. Message Boards will be in place to alert motorists of the closure.
