Express E-ZPass Lanes to Close for 12 Days at Warrendale Toll Plaza
Round-the-clock closure needed to upgrade electronic tolling equipment.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike advises E-ZPass motorists traveling through the Warrendale Toll Plaza — Exit 28 on Interstate 76 in Allegheny County — that the eastbound and westbound E-ZPass Express lanes will be closed starting at 7 p.m. tonight through 6 a.m. on May 1.

E-ZPass customers will still be able to use the traditional E-ZPass lanes (5 mph) to the right of the express lanes.

The 12-day closure is necessary for crews to safely upgrade the overhead electronic tolling equipment. Motorists should expect delays during peak travel times and make travel plans accordingly. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
