PA Turnpike Advises Motorists of Possible Delays on I-476 in Lehigh County
Nighttime traffic paces start tonight between Mahoning Valley and Lehigh Valley exits.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike advises motorists traveling in both directions on the Northeastern Extension (Interstate 476) in Lehigh County of possible delays starting at 7 p.m. tonight through 6 a.m. Oct. 13. The delays will likely occur between Mahoning Valley, Exit #74, and Lehigh Valley, Exit #56, when 15-minute traffic paces are implemented.

During the paces, Turnpike maintenance and state police vehicles will restrict Turnpike traffic to a speed of 20-25 miles an hour. The paces are needed for workers to safely install bridge beams at milepost 68.5.

Motorists in the area should be prepared for slow-moving traffic and possible stoppages.  Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
