PA Turnpike Closed Southbound Between the Quakertown and Lansdale Interchanges 
 Closure due to an accident involving tractor trailer in Bucks County. 

 

The Pennsylvania Turnpike is advising motorists that I-476 will be closed southbound between the Quakertown Interchange, Exit #44, and the Lansdale Interchange, #31, Bucks County, due to a traffic accident involving a tractor trailer. 

A commercial flatbed tractor trailer hauling roofing materials overturned on I-476 at milepost 35. Traffic is currently backlogged at milepost 40.

Motorists travelling from the Lehigh Valley area are encouraged to exit at the Lehigh Valley Interchange, Exit #56, to avoid the traffic backlog approaching the Quakertown Interchange, Exit #44

Maintenance and emergency crews are at the scene. No life-threatening injuries are being reported.

Suggested Detour:

Take State Route 663 North to U.S. Route 309 South to U.S. Route 202 South to State Route 63 West. Reenter the PA Turnpike at the Lansdale Interchange, Exit #31.
