Traffic Delays Expected on PA Turnpike I-476 in Lackawanna County
Daytime traffic paces planned near Keyser Avenue on Oct. 5.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike advises motorists traveling in both directions on the Northeastern Extension (Interstate 476) in Lackawanna County near the Keyser Avenue Interchange, Exit 122, that they may experience delays due to intermittent, 15-minute traffic paces scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and noon on Oct. 5.

During the paces, Turnpike maintenance and state police vehicles will restrict northbound and southbound Turnpike traffic to a speed of 20-25 miles an hour. The paces are needed for workers to conduct a traffic switch to prepare for work along the Clarks Summit Bridge.

Motorists in the area should be prepared for slow-moving traffic and possible stoppages.  Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
