Reassessment of PA Turnpike Construction Projects Continues
Commissioners seek more details before they modify 10-year spending plan.

HARRISBURG, PA. (Sept. 20, 2016) — An in-depth reassessment of all PA Turnpike improvement projects in the design and construction phases — launched July 19 by the PA Turnpike Commission — will continue several more weeks, Turnpike Chairman Sean Logan announced after today’s formal meeting.

“My fellow commissioners and I reviewed a massive amount of data regarding projects in our 10-year capital plan and the independently funded plan; we have asked for additional information from our engineering staff that will better enable us to make sound decisions on this important reassessment,” said Chairman Logan. “The commissioners and I will continue to deliberate on the draft report in the coming weeks as we await more project specifics from our engineering department. We hope to be able to make a decision sometime next month.”
