Pa. Turnpike Advises Motorists of Possible Delays on I-476 in Lehigh County
Nighttime traffic pace planned July 27 between Lehigh Valley and Mahoning Valley exits.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike advises motorists traveling on the Northeastern Extension (Interstate 476) in Lehigh County of possible overnight delays on July 27.  Both northbound and southbound delays are possible between Lehigh Valley, Exit 56, and Mahoning Valley, Exit 74, when a 15-minute traffic pace is implemented between 8 p.m. and midnight.

During the pace, Turnpike maintenance and state police vehicles will restrict Turnpike traffic to a speed of 20-25 miles an hour. The pace is needed for workers to safely perform bridge demolition work.

Motorists in the area should be prepared for slow-moving traffic and possible stoppages.  Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
