Pa. Turnpike Advises Motorists of Possible Delays on I-476 in Lehigh County
Nighttime traffic paces planned July 7 between Lehigh Valley and Mahoning Valley exits.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike advises motorists traveling both northbound and southbound on the Northeastern Extension (Interstate 476) in Lehigh County of possible delays overnight July 7. The delays would occur between Lehigh Valley, Exit 56, and Mahoning Valley, Exit 74, when a 15-minute traffic pace is implemented in both directions between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m.

During the pace, Turnpike maintenance and state police vehicles will restrict Turnpike traffic to a speed of 20-25 miles an hour. The paces are needed for workers to safely remove bridge beams at milepost 68.5.

Motorists in the area should be prepared for slow-moving traffic and possible stoppages.  Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
