Southbound Pa. Turnpike Closing June 15 Between Clarks Summit, Keyser Avenue

The five-hour, early morning closure needed for roadway repair.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike advises motorists that the Northeastern Extension (Interstate 476) will be closed southbound on June 15 from 12:01 to 5 a.m. between Clarks Summit, Exit 131, and Keyser Avenue, Exit 122, in Luzerne County.

The closure is needed to allow crews to safely mill and pave the southbound lanes approaching the Clarks Summit Bridge at milepost 129.

Some single-lane closures and traffic stoppages may occur during the nighttime hours on June 14 to prepare for the June 15 closure.

Southbound Detour

Exit at Interstate 81 south and renter the Turnpike at the Wyoming Valley Interchange.

Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions. Changeable message signs along the Turnpike will also provide information.
