PA Turnpike Closed Eastbound Between the Bensalem and Delaware Valley Interchanges
Closure due to an accident involving a tractor trailer.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike is advising motorists of an accident eastbound on I-276 just past the Delaware Valley exit ramp at milepost 358.

An incident involving a tractor trailer fire early this morning has caused the Turnpike to close between the Bensalem Interchange, Exit 351, and the Delaware Valley Interchange, Exit 358.

The tractor trailer that was hauling printer ink crashed and caught fire. Emergency crews have been on the scene and the fire has been extinguished. No life-threatening injuries are being reported.

Due to the complexity of clean-up required, responders have not provided an estimated time as to when the Turnpike may reopen in this area.

Eastbound Detour

Take U.S. Route 1 south to State Route 132 East, to U.S. Route 13 north. Reenter the Turnpike at the Delaware Valley Interchange, Exit 358.
