Pennsylvania Turnpike to Close Overnight May 22 between Bensalem and Delaware Valley |
|||||
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists that I-276 will be closed westbound on May 22 between the Bensalem Interchange, Exit 351, and the Delaware Valley Interchange, Exit 358, in Bristol Township, Bucks County, for a six-hour period from 12:01 to 6 a.m. The closure is necessary to protect motorists and workers as crews install sign structures. Prior to the installation of the sign structure, single-lane closures and traffic stoppages will occur May 21 during the night-time hours. The eastbound left lane and the westbound right lane will be closed at 9 and 10 p.m., respectively, to prepare for the May 22 closure. Pennsylvania State Police and Turnpike personnel will be positioned at the impacted interchanges to assist drivers. Changeable message signs will also provide information on closures and detours. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions. Drivers traveling westbound on I-276 will need to exit the Delaware Valley Interchange, Exit 358, and take U.S. Route 13 south to State Route 132 west to U.S. Route 1 north. Reenter the Turnpike at the Bensalem Interchange, Exit 351, to continue westbound on 1-276. To report an accident or other emergencies on the PA Turnpike, dial *11 on your mobile phone.
