Pa. Turnpike Advises Motorists of Possible Delays Southbound at the Clarks Summit Toll Plaza, Exit 129
|
|||||
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling southbound from milepost 131 to 129 along the Northeastern Extension (I-476) at the Clarks Summit Toll Plaza, Exit 129, in Lackawanna County, that they may experience delays due to intermittent, 15-minute traffic paces scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on May 12. During the paces, Turnpike maintenance and state police vehicles will restrict Turnpike traffic to a speed of 20-25 miles an hour. The paces are needed for workers to safely install containment tarps to paint a structure located at the Clarks Summit Bridge. Motorists in the area should be prepared for slow-moving traffic and possible stoppages. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions. Changeable message signs along the Turnpike will also provide information. To report an accident or other emergencies on the PA Turnpike, dial *11 on your mobile phone.
