United States flag and the Commonwealth Flag Lowered to Half Staff

Governor Tom Wolf today ordered the United States flag and the Commonwealth flag in the Capitol Complex and at Commonwealth facilities in Dauphin County lowered to half-staff in honor of Captain Arthur E. Halfpapp, a United States Army Air Forces soldier declared missing in action 71 years ago in World War II.

Halfpapp’s remains were recently identified and will be returned to his family today in Middletown and he will be laid to rest at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors.

Flags shall remain lowered until sunset on Thursday, April 14, 2016.

All Pennsylvanians are invited to participate in this tribute.
