Pennsylvania Turnpike Closing April 10 Between Butler Valley and Allegheny Valley Exits |
|||||
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission alerts motorists that the Turnpike, I-76, will be closed eastbound between the Butler Valley Interchange, Exit #39, and Allegheny Valley Interchange, Exit #48, for a two-hour period between midnight and 2 a.m., April 10. Drivers traveling eastbound will need to exit the Butler Valley Interchange and should use the following approved detour: EASTBOUND TRAFFIC Exiting at Butler Valley Interchange Follow State Route 8 south (10 miles)
Alternate-route cards will be available to exiting travelers at the Butler Valley Interchange during the closure. Expect higher traffic volumes on detour roads during this time. The eastbound closure is necessary to allow the contractor to erect steel sign posts at milepost 45.76 eastbound as part of the total reconstruction of the Turnpike from milepost 40 to 48.
