Pa. Turnpike Advises Motorists of Possible Delays
Southbound at the Pocono Interchange to milepost 68.5
Daytime traffic paces planned for March 8 – 10.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling southbound at the Pocono Interchange, Exit 95, that they may experience delays due to intermittent, 20-minute traffic paces scheduled between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. from March 8 through 10.

During the paces, Turnpike maintenance and state police vehicles will restrict Turnpike traffic to a speed of 20-25 miles an hour. The paces are needed for workers to safely deliver bridge beams.

Motorists in the area should be prepared for slow-moving traffic and possible stoppages.  Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.

Motorists can tune to radio 1640 AM for detour information and traffic conditions or call the Turnpike Roadway Information line at 866-976-TRIP (8747). Changeable message signs will also provide information on closures and detours. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly.
