MIDDLETOWN, PA (Feb. 16, 2016) – The PA Turnpike Commission (PTC) advises motorists that all speed-limit restrictions on the PA Turnpike system have been lifted. PA Turnpike crews continue to treat portions of the roadway. Be alert for changing pavement conditions:

Watch out for ponding water on the roadway.

Watch out for slush covered shoulders and median.

Drive at a speed suitable for conditions.

Be prepared for probable slick surfaces, especially on bridges and ramps.
Motorists can check PA Turnpike conditions at www.paturnpike.com; look at the “Active Travel Advisories” ticker at the top. While traveling, motorists can use the Turnpike’s smartphone app, TRIP Talk, available for Android and iPhone users. Travelers can also call the toll-free TRIP line at 866-976-TRIP (8747) for the latest travel and toll information.
