Pa. Turnpike to Close Feb. 7 Between Bensalem and Delaware Valley Interchanges

Overnight westbound closure needed for erection of signs and lights.
 

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists that a seven-mile stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276) will be closed westbound only for about four hours starting at midnight on Feb. 7 between Bensalem (Exit #351) and Delaware Valley (Exit #358). The Pennsylvania Turnpike will reopen to traffic at approximately 4 a.m.

The closure is needed for the protection of motorists and workers while signs and lights are erected on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bucks County.

Motorists can tune to radio 1640 AM for detour information and traffic conditions or call the Turnpike Roadway Information line at 866.976.8747. Changeable message signs will also provide updated information regarding closures and detours. Pennsylvania State Police and Turnpike personnel will assist drivers with the detour. All turnpike travelers are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly.

DETOUR:

• Traveling westbound on I-276 – All traffic must exit at Delaware Valley. Take U.S. Route 13 south to State Route 132 west to U.S. Route 1 north and reenter the Turnpike at the Bensalem Interchange to continue westbound on I-276.

The Turnpike urges motorists to stay alert and travel at posted speed limits through work zones. Speed limits will be enforced and fines increased.
