Northeastern Extension of Pa. Turnpike Now Open Near Lansdale

Southbound lanes reopened after tractor trailer accident cleared.

The PA Turnpike Commission advises that the southbound lanes of the Northeastern Extension (Interstate 476) between Quakertown Interchange (Exit #44) and Lansdale Interchange (Exit #31) are now open. The overturned tractor trailer at milepost 34.2 in Franconia Twp., Montgomery Co. has been cleared and the debris has been removed from the roadway. The accident occurred around 11:45 a.m. today.

The truck driver was extricated from the wreckage around two o’clock this afternoon and taken to a local hospital.
