Pa. Turnpike Advises Motorists of Traffic Restrictions

Guiderail repairs needed between Butler Valley and Allegheny Valley interchanges.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling between Allegheny Valley Interchange (Exit #48) and Butler Valley Interchange (Exit #39) that a single-lane pattern will be in place eastbound today from 9 a.m. until approximately 5 p.m. between mileposts 43-45.

The right lane will be closed to allow crews to replace guiderail which was damaged during an accident this morning in an area that is under total reconstruction from milepost 40 to 48 on the Turnpike mainline.

Motorists in the area should be prepared for slow-moving traffic.  Minor traffic backlogs are expected. The duration of this traffic restriction is subject to change based on weather conditions and other circumstances.
