Pa. Turnpike Work at Delaware River Bridge to Affect Westbound Traffic
Single-lane patterns in effect for several days beginning Nov. 7.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) advises motorists traveling westbound from New Jersey to be prepared for possible delays beginning Nov. 7. Crews will be working to install overhead gantries for future tolling equipment in conjunction with the            I-276/I-95 Connector Project near the Delaware River Bridge.

Single-lane patterns will be in effect westbound from the New Jersey Turnpike to the Pa. Turnpike’s Delaware River Bridge Toll Plaza (#359). The single-lane pattern will be in effect beginning Nov. 7 at 6 a.m. until Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. The single-lane pattern will then be in effect from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. from Nov. 9 through Nov. 12.

Motorists traveling westbound from New Jersey’s Pearl Harbor Extension at Interchange 6 onto I-276 at the Delaware River Bridge Toll Plaza in Pennsylvania should expect delays and slow moving construction vehicles.

The PTC urges motorists to stay alert and obey the posted speed limit throughout the work zones. Speed limits will be enforced and fines increased. In case of inclement weather, the work may be delayed or canceled.
