Traffic Restrictions Planned Between Harrisburg East and Lebanon-Lancaster Interchanges
Single-lane patterns scheduled for two weeks.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling between the Harrisburg East Interchange (Exit #247) and the Lebanon-Lancaster Interchange (Exit #266) of an eastbound single-lane traffic pattern starting on Oct. 25 at 9 p.m. through Oct. 29 at 5 a.m. between mileposts 250 and 252.  A westbound single-lane traffic pattern will be in effect from Nov. 1 at 9 p.m. through Nov. 5 at 5 a.m. in the same area.

The traffic restrictions are needed for crews to safely pave the lanes to accommodate a future traffic switch through the active construction zone between mileposts 250 and 252 in Dauphin County, which is part of the Swatara Creek Bridge Replacement Project.

Once the work begins, the traffic patterns must stay in effect until all work is completed. This work will proceed as weather permits. For more information on this project follow this link https://www.patpconstruction.com/swataracreekbridge/overview.aspx.

Motorists should be aware of the potential for delays while the traffic patterns are in place.  Motorists are urged to obey the posted 55 mph speed limits and use extra caution when approaching all work areas. Construction-zone speed limits are enforceable, and fines will be increased. For emergencies, dial *11 on your mobile device.
