Pa. Turnpike Closed Westbound Between Valley Forge and Downingtown Interchanges
Closure due to accident at milepost 318.8 in Chester County.

The Pa. Turnpike Commission advises motorists that an overturned vehicle with injuries west of the Valley Forge interchange at milepost 318.8 westbound has all lanes blocked forcing traffic to be detoured off at the Valley Forge Interchange (Exit #326). Trapped backlog has been released. Traffic can reenter the Turnpike at the Downingtown Interchange (Exit #312).

The following detour is in effect. All westbound traffic must exit at the Valley Forge Interchange (Exit #326) and take Exit 328A to US Route 202 South (12 miles) to US Route 30 west (2.5 miles) to State Route 100 North (5 miles).  This will bring you to the Downingtown Interchange #312.

Expect higher traffic volumes on detour roads during the closure. Message boards and the Turnpike's Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) at station 1640 AM have been activated to inform travelers of any updates.

Travelers can get Turnpike traffic alerts by calling 866-976-TRIP (8747) or visiting the live Travel Conditions Map online at www.paturnpike.com/webmap. The Pa. Turnpike’s smartphone app, TRIP Talk, streams audio advisories to iPhone and Droid users. To download the free app, visit www.paturnpike.com/triptalk.
