Pa. Turnpike to Close the Route 29 Interchange (Exit #320) June 27

Maintenance of tolling equipment requires the E-ZPass Only interchange to be closed at 7 p.m.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists using Interstate 76 between Downingtown (Exit #312) and Valley Forge (Exit #326) that the Route 29 All-Electronic Interchange (Exit #320, E-ZPass only) will be closed to all traffic entering the system from State Route 29 and exiting the eastbound-westbound Turnpike mainline at 7 p.m. on June 27.

The alternate route for motorists to access State Route 29 (Morehall Road) and the area local roadways from the Turnpike is to exit westbound at the Downingtown Interchange and eastbound at the Valley Forge Interchange. Additionally, the entrance to the Turnpike from Atwater Drive will be closed.

The overnight closure will allow crews to perform preventative maintenance to the toll-collection equipment. Digital message boards will be activated on the mainline (I-76) and State Route 29 to alert motorists of the closure.

Pennsylvania State Police and Turnpike maintenance personnel will assist with the closure until the work is completed and the interchange is reopened to motorists by 7 a.m. on June 28. All work is weather sensitive and subject to change.

Travel advisories will be posted at www.paturnpike.com and the Highway Advisory Radio (1640 AM) will be activated to provide travel updates. Motorists can get Turnpike traffic alerts by calling 866-976-TRIP (8747) or visiting the live Travel Conditions Map online at www.paturnpike.com/webmap.
