Pa. Turnpike Commission Unveils New Website

Upgrades make www.paturnpike.com mobile compatible.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) is proud to announce the launch of its new website with a cleaner look and simplified navigation. The new visual appearance of www.paturnpike.com allows users to easily find the information they need. The upgrades to the website also allow it to be mobile compatible, which means it will automatically size to any mobile device screen.

"We wanted one site that works for desktop and mobile users so we designed a website that is adaptive, and configures to fit the screen size of the device being used," explains PTC Chairman, Sean Logan. "Users will also notice that the site can be translated into many languages as well – all upgrades that reflect what our customers have requested."

The new site is equipped with a "Where did it go?" link at the top of the home page for users who cannot find a particular page that was on the old site. By clicking on the Pa. Turnpike Keystone logo, users can return to the home page. Links to the Turnpike's Twitter and Facebook pages are also available.

In addition to being a valuable communication tool, the website supports a number of Turnpike business functions, in the areas of employment, procurement, and permitting. It is also integrated with the TRIP Talk hands-free mobile app, the TRIP Line phone system, and the TRIP Preferred Traveler email alert system so that all systems receive and distribute traveler information as quickly as possible, delivering the same message regardless of how the driver elects to get their information.

As the Pa. Turnpike gears up to celebrate its 75th anniversary on Oct. 1, 2015, information about its history, future events and more can be found by clicking the 75th anniversary link at the top of the home page. The page will be updated throughout the year with 75th anniversary items to purchase, a 75th anniversary video showcasing the Turnpike's history and personal stories from Turnpike employees describing their experiences with the Pa. Turnpike.

The PTC partnered with Information Logistics, Inc. of Philadelphia to create these innovative upgrades keeping the customers' needs in mind. If anyone requires any assistance or would like to provide comments regarding the new website, please contact the Customer Assistance Center at 800-331-3414 or ptccac@paturnpike.com.
