Express E-ZPass Lane Closure Scheduled for April 15 and 16 at Gateway Toll Plaza
The Pennsylvania Turnpike advises motorists that the eastbound Express E-ZPass lanes at the Gateway Mainline Toll Plaza (Exit #2) in Lawrence County will be closed April 15, 16 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Only E-ZPass customers use these lanes, which allow travel at highway speeds.

E-ZPass customers can still pay electronically via the conventional E-ZPass lanes on the right side of the plaza. Conventional lanes are designated as E-ZPass Only or Cash Only. Motorists should be aware that the conventional E-ZPass lanes have a speed limit of 5 mph.

Single lane patterns will be in effect from milepost 0 to 10 starting April 13 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. nightly until April 23. Motorists are urged to use caution throughout the work zone for worker safety.

The closure of the express lanes and traffic restrictions are needed while the contractor, Joseph B. Fay Construction Corp. mills and paves the roadway between milepost 0 to 10. This work will proceed as weather permits. Message Boards will be in place to alert motorists of the closure and traffic shifts.
