Pa. Turnpike to Close One Lane to Traffic at the Route 29 Interchange (Exit #320) on Feb. 5
Equipment maintenance requires a daytime single-lane closure
on the exit-ramp to Rt. 29.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists using Interstate 76 between the Downingtown (Exit #312) and Valley Forge (Exit #326) interchanges that a single-lane traffic pattern will be implemented on the exit-ramp at the Route 29 All-Electronic Interchange (Exit #320, E-ZPass only) at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 5.

Motorists exiting the east/west Turnpike at the E-ZPass Only interchange should be prepared for the possibility of slow moving or stopped traffic approaching the tolling equipment. Customers using the Atwater Drive entrance to I-76 will not be impacted.

The daytime restriction in the right hand E-ZPass lane will allow crews to perform preventative maintenance to the toll-collection equipment. Additional work for guiderail repairs by Turnpike Maintenance crews will also be performed in the area of the deceleration ramp from I-76. Digital message boards will be activated on the mainline (I-76) to alert motorists of the lane restrictions.

Pennsylvania State Police and Turnpike maintenance personnel will assist the contractor until the restrictions are lifted by 2:30 p.m. The work is weather sensitive and subject to change.

Travel advisories will be posted at www.paturnpike.com and Highway Advisory Radio (1640 AM) will be activated to provide travel updates. Motorists can get Turnpike traffic alerts by calling 866-976-TRIP (8747) or visiting the live Travel Conditions Map online at www.paturnpike.com/webmap.

The Pa. Turnpike’s smartphone app, TRIP Talk, streams audio advisories to iPhone and Droid users so they can keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. To download the free app, visit www.paturnpike.com/triptalk.
