Pa. Turnpike to Close Beaver Valley Interchange Overnight on March 16
4-hour closure needed for bridge work.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) advises motorists that it is closing the entrance and exit ramps to the Beaver Valley Interchange (Exit #13) which leads to State Route 18 on March 15 at 11:59 p.m. until 4 a.m. on March 16. In addition to the Turnpike ramps, a portion of State Route 18 will also be closed with a posted detour for local traffic during this period.

Turnpike travelers wanting to exit at Beaver Valley Interchange during this time will need to exit at the New Castle Interchange (Exit #10) where detour signs for State Route 18 will be in place to direct traffic. PTC maintenance personnel will also have detour cards available for motorists. Drivers traveling the mainline Turnpike will not be affected.

Detour for State Route 18 north:
exit at New Castle Interchange to Shenango Road north to State Route 351 east to State Route 18 north.

Detour for State Route 18 south:  exit at New Castle Interchange (#10) to Shenango Road south to State Route 551 east to State Route 18 south.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to set the bridge that carries the interchange ramps over State Route 18, and is part of the future Beaver River Bridge replacement project.
