Pa. Turnpike Lifts Speed Limit Restriction

Motorists advised to still travel with caution.
The Pa. Turnpike Commission (PTC) and the Pennsylvania State Police have lifted the lower speed limit restriction of 45 mph between the Valley Forge Interchange (Exit #326) and the Delaware River Bridge (Exit #359).

Turnpike maintenance crews and its traffic operations center determined the weather conditions improved enough to lift the restriction. However, all travelers should still remain alert for possible changing road conditions and maintenance crews working on the roadway.

For up-to-the-minute turnpike travel conditions, check the live Travel Conditions Map online at www.paturnpike.com/webmap or call 866-976-TRIP (8747) for restrictions and closures. The turnpike’s free smartphone app, “TRIP Talk,” provides iPhone and Droid users with audio alerts for their specific location and direction of travel.
