Pa. Turnpike Restricts Speed Due to Winter Weather

Motorists urged to use extreme caution until restrictions are lifted.
The Pa. Turnpike Commission (PTC) and the Pennsylvania State Police are implementing a speed-limit restriction of 45 mph for all drivers traveling between Valley Forge Interchange (Exit #326) and the Delaware River Bridge (Exit #359).

All travelers are urged to reduce their speeds and keep alert for changing travel conditions and emergency crews working on the roadway. Motorists should stay alert for areas of snow with poor visibility, and icy roadway conditions. The Pennsylvania Turnpike asks motorists to allow plenty of space when driving near plow trucks. Also, for travelers own safety and the safety of plow operators, motorists should never attempt to pass a truck while it is plowing or spreading winter materials.

Extra maintenance crews and Pennsylvania State Police patrols are on duty across the turnpike. They will be clearing the roadway and assisting motorists as needed.
