Daytime Express E-ZPass Lane Closure Scheduled on Turnpike 43

Maintenance Work being performed at M-52 in Allegheny County
The Pennsylvania Turnpike advises Turnpike 43 motorists that the northbound and southbound Express E-ZPass Lanes at the M52 Mainline Toll Plaza in Allegheny County between Exit 48 (Finleyville) and Exit 54 (PA Rt. 51/Jefferson Hills) will be closed on Feb. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Only E-ZPass customers use these lanes where travel is permitted at highway speeds.

E-ZPass customers can still pay electronically via the conventional E-ZPass lanes on the right side of the plaza. Message Boards will be in place to alert motorists and direct vehicles to the right of the express lanes, where conventional lanes will be designated as E-ZPass Only or Cash Only. Motorists should be aware that these conventional E-ZPass lanes have a speed limit of 5 mph.

The closure is needed for routine maintenance of the toll equipment used for the express E-Z Pass lanes. This work will proceed as weather permits.
