| Winter Weather Causes Speed and Trailer Restrictions on Pa. Turnpike Accident closes Eastbound Turnpike Between Gettysburg Pike and Harrisburg West interchanges. |

| The Pa. Turnpike Commission and the Pa. State Police have implemented a reduced speed limit of 45 mph across the entire turnpike system. In addition, there is a tractor trailer ban for all drivers pulling empty trailers and double trailers on the entire turnpike. Tractor trailer drivers are also restricted to the right lane between the Breezewood (#161) and New Stanton (#75) interchanges in both directions. Also, due to an earlier fatal accident involving three tractor trailers near milepost 238 eastbound, the Pa. Turnpike is closed eastbound only between Gettysburg Pike (#236) and Harrisburg West (#242) until the accident scene is clear and the State Police finish their investigation. The accident happened around 11 p.m. last night and one driver was killed.
