Speed Limit Restrictions on Pa. Turnpike Lifted

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) and the Pennsylvania State Police have lifted the lower speed limit restriction of 45 mph in the area between New Stanton (Exit #75) and the Delaware River Bridge Interchange (#359) as well as the Northeastern Extension from Mid-County Interchange (#20) to Clarks Summit Interchange (#131).

Turnpike maintenance crews and its traffic operations center determined the weather conditions improved enough to lift the restrictions. However, the Turnpike will continue to operate under a winter weather advisory until further notice. All travelers should keep alert for changing travel conditions and emergency crews working on the roadway.

Motorists needing assistance should call *11 from their cell phones.
