| Pa. Turnpike Commission Names New Inspector General Southwestern Pennsylvania man assumes watchdog position. |

| HARRISBURG, PA (Jan. 8, 2014) – The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission recently named Ray A. Morrow, of Washington, Pa., to the position of inspector general. Morrow, with more than 20 years of experience working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and corporate investigations is responsible for examining reports of theft, fraud and waste at the Turnpike. His position compliments that of Turnpike Chief Compliance Officer David Gentile. "I am delighted to welcome Ray as an integral part of the Compliance Department," said Gentile. "His professional background, credentials and integrity were the cornerstone for his selection as our new inspector general." Morrow, who operates from the Turnpike's Central Administration Building near Middletown, Pa., will monitor employee behavior, identifying and dealing with any misconduct that may arise and ensuring the Commission operates professionally and ethically. Before his retirement, Morrow rose through the ranks of the FBI as an undercover agent, white-collar crime supervisor and Special Agent-in-Charge of the bureau's Pittsburgh office. "I've had extensive experience investigating everything from cyber and computer crimes to developing strategic plans for crisis situations," said Morrow. "I'm honored to be working at the Turnpike to help ensure this organization continues to operate in a professional, ethical manner." After leaving the FBI, Morrow went into corporate investigations and last worked for Siemens Corp. in Fairfax, Va. It was there that he conducted cost-efficient compliance investigations, extensive document reviews and compliance risk assessments. "Ray's diverse background will serve the Turnpike well as we continue moving forward to enhance the transparency and accountability of our organization," said Chief Executive Officer Mark Compton. "Having him on board and working closely with employees, vendors and customers will help strengthen the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Commission." Morrow — who will work hand in hand with the Pennsylvania State Police to deal with perpetrators of fraud, theft and other violations - said efforts will be focused on eliminating impropriety at all levels, including issues involving contractors or consultants hired by the Commission. "Commissioners have given us the resources to ensure that employees and business partners are following the rules," Morrow says. "This organization has made great strides to be more effective and accountable in recent years, and it is my charge to build upon the work that was already started."
