WINTER WEATHER TRAVEL ADVISORY
Clarification
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission reports that due to the weather conditions, the 45 mph speed limit restrictions remain in effect the length of the Northeastern Extension (I-476) from Mid-County (Exit #20) to Clarks Summit (Exit #131), and on the Turnpike mainline (I-76/I-276) from Blue Mountain (Exit #201) to the Delaware River Bridge (Exit #359) until further notice. Motorists driving through other areas of the turnpike are operating under a weather advisory and should travel with caution.

Anticipate slow or stopped traffic in your lane of travel, and watch for emergency crews working on the roadway. Do not attempt to pass Turnpike trucks plowing or servicing the highway. Remove all snow and ice from vehicles before hitting the highway and turn on the headlights anytime the windshield wipers are in use.

In case of an accident, breakdown or other emergency, motorists can utilize the yellow emergency call boxes on the shoulder or dial *11 or 1-800-332-3880 to receive aid. Be prepared to give your milepost location and direction of travel and move the involved vehicles out of active travel lanes if possible.
