FLAG NOTIFICATION Lowering of U.S and Pennsylvania Flags in York County |

From: PA State Capitol Police Date: August 8, 2012 At the direction of Governor Tom Corbett, all U.S. and Pennsylvania flags in the Capitol Complex and at Commonwealth facilities in York County are to be flown at half-staff on Thursday, August 9, in honor of United States Army Staff Sgt. Brandon R. Pepper, who died on July 21 in Afghanistan. Pepper served with the 4th Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group. He will be buried Thursday in Arlington National Cemetery. All Pennsylvanians are authorized to join in this tribute. Please note: U.S. & Pennsylvania flags are already flying at half staff through sunset on August 10, to honor the victims of the Wisconsin Temple shooting.
