Work on Pa. Turnpike Bridge at milepost 155 cancelled due to Hurricane Irene
NEW STANTON, PA (08/26/2011)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) has cancelled the bridge-beam placement and roadway closure between Bedford (Exit 146) and Breezewood (Exit 161) originally scheduled for this weekend. The roadway must be kept fully open in case of a need to move evacuees or emergency equipment due to Hurricane Irene. Work will be rescheduled for a later date.

Turnpike travelers can get up-to-date information by calling 866.976.TRIP (or 866.976.8747).
