NEW STANTON, PA (07/07/2011)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will close the Route 40 west entry ramp from north PA 43 for 12 hours starting Fri. July 8 at 7:00 p.m. through Sat. July 9 at 7:00 a.m.

While the ramp is closed motorist will be detoured north to exit at the California exit. They will be directed to re-enter PA 43 South to exit at Route 40 west. Message boards will be in place throughout the detour to safely direct traffic to Route 40 west.

Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions and other circumstances. The closure is needed while crews repave the Route 40 west ramp.
