Route 43/88 Traffic Pattern Switch in Centerville Borough
NEW STANTON, PA (05/02/2011)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike alerts motorist of a lane pattern switch from the temporary northbound lanes to the new reconstructed northbound lanes of Route 43/88 on Tue., May 3. Traffic patterns on Route 43/88 will be moved between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the vicinity of the California Interchange to Nobles Road and on Route 40 from Malden Road to a ½ miles east of Route 43.

Traffic on Low Hill Road (SR 2089) will be directed onto the new on-ramp to SR 43/88. The lower portion of Low Hill Road (SR 2089) will continue to be restricted from this point down to the cul-de-sac. The lower portion of Low Hill Road (SR 2089) will continue to be restricted for at least three weeks, until concrete median work is complete. Motorists are asked to use the detour route currently in place.

During the three week period, Route 40, east and west, will be restricted with a single lane pattern in each direction while crews uncover overhead signs, open closed ramps, and deactivate the temporary signal. Traffic stoppages will occur in fifteen minute increments as the work progresses.

This work is a part of the Mon Fayette Expressway, Uniontown to Brownsville Phase II project, Section 51J.
