Pa. Turnpike Open-House Plans Display: Reconstruction and Widening Project Fairview Township, York County |

An upcoming open-house plans display will allow residents to review and discuss design plans for the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s reconstruction and six-lane widening project in Fairview Township, York County. The project area is located between the Turnpike’s Harrisburg West Interchange (Exit # 242) and the Susquehanna River Bridge. Wednesday, April 13, 2011, 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fairview Township Fire House, 340 Lewisberry Road, New Cumberland, Pa. Representatives of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and its consultant team will be available to explain the project and answer questions on such issues as noise, detours and property impacts. The $70 million project — known as the milepost 242 to 245 project — is now in design with construction expected in the spring of 2012.
