Pa. Turnpike Open-House Plans Display:
Reconstruction and Widening Project
Fairview Township, York County
An upcoming open-house plans display will allow residents to review and
discuss design plans for the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s reconstruction and six-lane
widening project in Fairview Township, York County. The project area is located
between the Turnpike’s Harrisburg West Interchange (Exit # 242) and the
Susquehanna River Bridge.

Wednesday, April 13, 2011, 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Fairview Township Fire House,
340 Lewisberry Road, New Cumberland, Pa.

Representatives of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and its consultant team
will be available to explain the project and answer questions on such
issues as noise, detours and property impacts. The $70 million project
— known as the milepost 242 to 245 project — is now in design with
construction expected in the spring of 2012. It includes replacement of
the Old York Road and Marsh Run Road bridges over the Turnpike.
