| Turnpike Work on Delaware River Bridge to Impact Traffic on I-276 Motorists traveling westbound should anticipate delays beginning Monday |

| KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (10/29/2010)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission alerts westbound motorists entering Pennsylvania from New Jersey via the Delaware River Bridge that a daytime single-lane pattern will be in effect Monday – Wednesday (Nov. 1-3) between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for bridge inspection work. Operated jointly by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA), each state is responsible for half of the bridge up to the state line. In cooperation with the NJTA, the PTC advises customers that the contractor will close the westbound right lane across the bridge on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9 a.m. until the pattern is lifted at 2 p.m. Additionally, on Wednesday (Nov. 3) the contractor will establish a single-lane pattern closing the eastbound right lane from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The contractor's schedule is weather permitting and could extend this work to the next day. The Delaware River Bridge was built by the PTC and NJTA when the PTC completed its "Delaware River Extension" between Valley Forge and Bristol in 1955. The four-lane, steel-arch bridge opened to traffic on May 25, 1956.
