| Lehigh Tunnel Closures Scheduled Next Week Daytime tunnel maintenance to impact traffic on I-476 Monday – Wednesday |

| KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (05/07/2010)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling the PA Northeastern Extension (I-476), approaching the Lehigh Tunnel from the Lehigh Valley (Exit #56) and Mahoning Valley (Exit #74) Interchanges, to be prepared for single lane patterns and bi-directional traffic in the southbound tunnel, Monday through Wednesday (May 10-12). The northbound tube will be closed to traffic for routine maintenance between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Northbound traffic will be diverted into the southbound tube and all motorists on I-476 approaching the tunnel should stay alert when entering the tunnel. Motorists are urged to turn on headlights; slow down and keep an adequate distance from the vehicle you are following; remain in your lane and do not pass other vehicles when traveling through the single lane pattern in effect between milepost A70-A72. The work is weather sensitive and may be delayed or rescheduled.
