Express E-ZPass Westbound Lanes at Warrendale Interchange (Exit 30) to close Sept. 16

NEW STANTON, PA (09/14/2009)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission would like to alert motorist of the closing of the westbound Express E-ZPass lanes at the Warrendale Interchange beginning the evening of Wed., Sept. 16. The express E-ZPass lane will remain closed for six weeks while crews from Joseph B. Fay complete work identified in Stage 1 Phase C of Milepost 31-38 Total Reconstruction project. The work will include the milling and paving of the westbound express lane and associated median and drainage work just east of the toll plaza. Transcore will be completing modifications to the E-Z Pass equipment which could take an additional one to two weeks after construction is complete.

Message Boards will be in place to alert motorists of the closure, and direct motorist to the right of the express lanes, where lanes will be designated as E-ZPass or cash only. Motorist should be aware that the designated E-ZPass lanes have a speed limit of 5 mph.
