Intermittent Daytime Traffic Stoppages Scheduled on Turnpike 43 in Allegheny County Sept. 9

Stoppages needed for installation and removal of Signage Structures at the M52 Mainline Toll Plaza

NEW STANTON, PA (09/08/2009)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike advises Turnpike 43 motorists that there will be random, intermittent traffic stoppages on Wed. Sept. 9 near the Jefferson Hills Mainline Toll Plaza in Allegheny County. The stoppages will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and will last a maximum of 30 minutes.

Traffic will be stopped to allow for the erection of three new monopipe sign structures for signage alerting customers of the availability of the new highway-speed, "Express E-ZPass" lanes at the Jefferson Hills Mainline toll facility.

During the project, there will be an additional three monopipe sign structures erected and five existing sign structures removed over the travel lanes approaching the mainline plaza in both the north and southbound lanes.
