| Mon/Fayette Work Necessitates Closure at the Intersection of Route 119 and Route 51 | |||||
| NEW STANTON, PA (06/04/2009; 0844)(readMedia)-- Construction of the
Mon/Fayette Expressway Uniontown to Brownsville Project will require the closure of Route 51 between Northgate Highway and Route 119. The closure
will be for 14 hours from 10 p.m. Sat. June 6 until noon on Sun. June 7.
The detour for southbound traffic will be via Northgate Highway to Route 40 East to Route 119 North. The detour for northbound traffic will be via Route 119 South to the Main Street Exit, Route 40 West to Northgate Highway to Route 51. Signs will be posted for the detour. The general contractor, Walsh Construction, will close this intersection for the erection of girders over Route 51. This work is part of Phase 2 construction of the Mon/Fayette Expressway between Uniontown and Brownsville, Section 51A1.
